Star Health and Allied Insurance Co Ltd celebrated its first anniversary at its office premises on Balmatta Road in the City on Wednesday.
Assistant Commissioner Krishnamurthy, who inaugurated the celebrations, advised the insurance agents to meet individuals personally, understand their necessities and miseries, so that they could play a prominent role in the welfare of the society as a whole.
In his address, advocate and notary Ivan D’Souza said Mangalore being a health care hub, is a wonderful place for health insurance companies, who have maximum scope to serve the people. Emphasising on the social responsibility of insurance companies, he suggested the Star to create awareness among people towards maintaining good health.
Speaking on the occasion, LIC of India Mangalore-I Branch Manager P L Upadhyaya lauded the progress of the Star as a silent revolution. Star Health and Allied Insurance Zonal Manager John Noronha, Branch Manager Melwyn D’Souza were present.
