As many as 95 mobile phones have been stolen under mysterious circumstances from the wellknown shop on K S Rao Road in Mangalore. The incident came to light on Saturday when the shop was opened in the morning.
According to a complaint filed with the police, mobile sets worth Rs 7,69,857 have been stolen from the shop Harsha. The stolen mobile sets include Motorola (32), Nokia (38), Samsung (7) and Sony (18).
Quite interestingly, the miscreants have stolen the mobile sets along with the batteries and left all the boxes in the shop. More interestingly, the shop lock was in tact and there were no signs of any door/wall break. This apart, the wellknown shop in the heart of the City has security too.
Additional SP B S Lokesh Kumar visited the spot. Finger print experts and a dog squad too was pressed into the service. Police have registered a case and further investigations are on.
Commits suicide
A person committed suicide by hanging at Kukkunduru village. According to police, the deceased has been identified as Nagaraj (20). A case has been registered.
Missing
A student has been missing from Peradka in Karkala taluk. According to police, he has been identified as Anand (14). He was wearing black pant and blue shirt. He speaks in Kannada and Tulu.
