Three famous temples at Kurudumale and Kadaripura in the taluk were robbed on Thursday night.
Miscreants broke open the locks of the Someshwara temple at Kurudumale and Kshmadamba temple. However, they had to return empty handed as they could not find anything.
After this incident the Laksminarasimha temple at Kadaripura village was also broke open. At this temple they broke open the almirah and stole Rs 6,500, a silver plate and tumbler, according to priest Bindu Madhava Rao.
Moreover, the police suspect the handiwork of the same group in both the incidents. Also, the same group had tried to break the lock of a shop at Kurudumale Cross but the attempt was foiled. Three months ago nearly Rs 1 lakh was stolen from the Vinayaka temple at Kurudumale.When this incident is still fresh in the minds of the people, this incident has occurred.
Mulbagal police and the officers at the Income tax department visited the temples and case has been registered.
