Sites for new district office chosen

The sites for constructing building for the new district office will be launched between August 25 to 30.

This was decided at a meeting held under the leadership of Minister for Public Works H D Revanna and District In-charge Minister Alangur Shrinivas at the Vidhan Soudha on Friday.

Mr Revanna has directed the officials to send a blueprint for releasing Rs 70 crore for the construction of buildings, said sources.

The taluk office, sub registrar office and other necessary offices will not be shifted to the new district, the Minister said. Other offices will be started at the outskirts of of gopalakrishna lake area.

He also ordered the officials to choose a site for constructing office of the district commissioner, Zilla Panchayat  office, and office of the district  Superintendent of Police  at a total area of 45 acres at 15 acres per office.

He also directed the officials to choose the land of mango grove at Patrenahalli for the guest houses for employees and officials.

Mr Alangur Shrinivas has assured of completing all developmental works as soon as possible and the Chief Minister will be invited for the inauguration of the district, said leaders of JD (S) K P Bacche Gowda and K T Narayanaswamy.
