Applications invited for Bhagyadabandi yojane

H T Chandrakala, Assistant director, Agriculture department, in a press release, has called for eligible applicants for the Bhagyadabandi Yojana. Under this scheme small and  marginal farmers are distributed bullock carts .
Preventive measures

The release also addressed the  rising  cases of boodi diesease among the sunflower crop. The entire taluk has been under a  cloudy spell because of which many of the  farmers who opted for sunflower crop are seeing a spate of boodi diesease. The press release suggested that the farmers spray 1 gram of Carbon digen mixed in one litre of water which will help get rid of the problem.

Subsidies

It has also been  decided that the department would give subsidies to tractors, cultivators pesticisides, and other equipment.

Under the minor irrigation  scheme surgance and cotton farms will be  given assitance for drip irrigation systems in their farms.

The assistant  director has called on farmers who require these facilities to contact the  Agriculture department and make  use of the oppurtunities.

Those farmers who wish to insure the following crops under the  National agricultural insurance scheme  should pay the instalment by August 31st.

The crops that are covered include paddy , corn, maize, sajje, navane, mustard, tur dal, green gram, horse gram, sunflower, groundnut, chilli and cotton. For further information, the farmers  have been asked to contact the Farmer Contact centres at their  villages to avail more of the government facilities and initiatives  that are available to  them.
