District’s  Wildlife Awareness Organisation had organised an eco awareness camp at Thimlapura forests in the district for the students of the Mount View Public School.

At the camp B V Gundappa, president of the organisation gave a talk on birds watching, studying of various kinds of ants, methods of identifying different species of wildlife and others. This is a beautiful forest area. However, the general public litter these places with plastic, glass bottles, paper etc in the name of seeking entertainment, said environmentalist Mallikarjuna.

Thus, the onus is on the students to clean up this stretch of forest area voluntarily with the guidance of the teachers, he added.
