JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda on Saturday said the decision on handing over the chief ministership to the saffron party would have to be decided by his son and Chief Minister H D Kumarasamy and Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.
The JD(S)-BJP coalition government was just ‘an arrangement’ with an objective to work for the people and implement schemes for them and so far as JD(S) was concerned it “maintained equidistance” from Congress and BJP, he told reporters here.
The decision on handing over the chief ministership to the BJP in October as per the power-sharing agreement would have to be decided by the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister, he added.
