Bangalore University has invited applications from the laboratories and specific department in affiliated colleges and also from the institutions and research centres within the jurisdiction of the Bangalore University like Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural and Kolar districts for recognising them as research centre for purposes of carrying research in respective subjects by getting recognition of PhD guides and also to admit candidates for PhD degree of the Bangalore University for the year 2007-08.

Applications are being issued at the Office of the Co-ordinator, Prasaranga Sales Unit, Palace Road, Bangalore-560056, on payment of Rs 250 through a demand draft drawn in favour of ‘Registrar, Bangalore University, Bangalore-560056 from August 14 during working hours.  Filled-in application forms are to be submitted in eight sets with the prescribed recognition fee of Rs 50,000 per subject of study in the form of DD drawn in favour of the Registrar, Bangalore University, Bangalore-560056, in person to Academic Section-III, Bangalore University, Jnanabharathi Campus, Bangalore.

Deadline extended
In view of the general holidays occurring on August 15, 18 and 19, the last date for issue and submission of application for admission to various post graduate courses of Bangalore University at Jnana Bharathi Campus, Central College Campus, PG Centre at Kolar and affiliated colleges for the academic year 2007-08 is extended up to August 22 and August 28 with a fine of Rs 50. The applications are available at specified branches of State Bank of Mysore.
