Arrack packets recovered

More than one thousand arrack packets which were illegally stored in a farm house were recovered by the Tiptur rural police inspector J B Manjunath and his team. On a definite information that arrack packets were stored in the coconut farm house of Doddaiah near Honnenahalli of Nonavinakere hobli, Manjunath and his staff raided the house and found 1037, 100ml packets.

The worth of the packets is said to be Rs 10,370. The accused Mahadevaiah has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody. A case has been registered in Nonavinakere police station.

Inspector Manjunath has arrested Rangaswamy and Nagaraju for selling liquor without permits. The raid was conducted after the police got the information that liquor was being sold without permit at Sujata wine stores in Nonavinakere. The accused have been produced in the court.
