I-Day in different hues...
Bangalore,DHNS:
As part of the 60th Independence Day celebrations, several school children and women in the City took part in the rangoli competition, on Wednesday morning at Cubbon Park.

Grated carrot, radish and coriander not only make a good salad, they also make great rangoli representing the Tri-colour.

As part of the 60th Independence Day celebrations, several school children and women in the City took part in the rangoli competition, on Wednesday morning at Cubbon Park.

Some of the rangolis depicted the map of India and patriotic slogans like Vande Maataram, Jai Hind, Mera Bharat Mahaan, Satyam Shivam Sundaram and ‘Happy Independence Day.’ A rocket made of grated vegetables reads ‘Our Pride Endeavour’ and paid tribute to Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams. Another rocket had a red cross over it saying ‘Save Earth; Say no to bombs.
