Bank to boost revenue

Chief General Manager of Karnataka Bank P Jayarama Bhat gave a call to focus on distribution of Life Insurance products to enhance the ‘Other Income’ of the bank at the Life Insurance Business Review Meet held on August 9.

He was presding over a meeting which reviewed the performance in life insurance business handled by the Bank during  2006-07 under Corporate Agency arrangement with MetLife India Insurance Co.

He urged the Insurance Officers to canvass minimum one application per branch per day.  The meeting also discussed the performance for the first four months from April to July 2007 and the strategies for achieving the projected business in the ensuing months of the current fiscal.
