The bodies of Gurushantappa (42) and his son Siddesh alias Raju(12), Tiptur legislator B Nanjamari’s brother and nephew, were found near Heechanur tank on Wednesday morning. 

They were both reported missing since Monday, after they went to their farm. The search was on after the motor bile and their slippers were found near the Hemavathi canal. The water in the canal was stopped and five expert swimmers were called to undertake the search operation.

Police and Hemavathi canal officials had jointly led the search operation. B Nanajamaris another brother also had met with an untimely tragic death two years’ back when he died in an accident near Bagalkote . Even as he was coming out of the tragedy, this incident has come as a blow to the legislator.

Soon after hearing the news , Tumkur district in charge Minister C Chennigappa, Sericulture Minister Sogadu Shivanna and other rushed to TIptur to offer their condolences to the grieving family.
