Jaathi Vinaasha Vedike observed a black day on the 60th Independence Day and held a protest rally at Bannappa Park in Bangalore on Wednesday.

The Vedike President Lakshman alleged that independence was only for upper caste and rich people. Dalits, downtrodden and poor had not been able to enjoy the freedom due to exploitation by rich and upper caste people.

Karnataka Janandolan Samiti president Mariyappa urged the government to ban Hindu organisations like RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal. Samata Sainik Dal’s Venkatswamy sought amendment of the law to confiscate property of those who exploit Dalits and hand over the same to Dalits.
