Lalbagh as dump yard
On August 12 evening I had been to Lalbagh to watch the colourful flowers on display, especially the Taj Mahal. I was extremely happy to watch the Taj Mahal made of thousands of red and white roses.
But on the flip side I was extremely unhappy to watch Lalbagh as a dump yard and appalled to see the lack of civic awareness among the people of the City. Though we just celebrated 60 years of independence, are we are still slaves of our own minds.

Increase ladies’ buses
Now that separate buses have been provided to ladies in the City, I think it is high time the government extends the same facility to Gramanthara Pradesh. Bus route No. 243/E leaves Vidyamanyanagara at 8 am to Shivajinagara via KBS. It is always crowded. I think we need more buses on this route.
The passengers boarding this bus are forced to stand and travel jampacked through their journey. Children too are caught in between which is rather dangerous.

Roads need asphalt
The newly christened Narayananagar (Bank Officers House building Layout)adjoining Anjanapura is improving with houses being constructed.
The area still full of flora and fauna inhabited by reptiles.Asphalting and provision of street lighting is of emergency requirement. The area in front of Ramya farm is totally dark after sunset.
The BDA has its 9th Phase JP Nagar sites allotted without single dwelling house which has become a handicap for development.
The authorities shall look into the problem and the area has been handed to BDA for street light maintenance.
Providing Asphalt to the mentioned road shall augur well for BMTC to operate its services enroute.

Stop garbage burning
I am amazed by the haphazard and dangerous manner in which garbage is being dumped and burnt (in the open, causing acrid, possibly carcinogenic fumes to be generated endangering many of us who live in the vicinity) along Huskur Road which runs from Hosur Road north-westward to Huskur village.
Garbage is being indiscriminately dumped in large quantities in the close vicinity of the APMC fruit whole-sale market and the KSSIDC complex on either side of Huskur Road.
This has been going on for some weeks now....and it has become difficult to bear the acrid smoke generated. There are a number of layouts and farmhouses in the area. Despite protests nothing has been done.
