Top-seeded Uday S Athreya overcame Anirban Tarafdar in a six-game thriller to clinch the men's title in the LIC Cup State-ranking table tennis tournament at the Belgaum Club badminton hall on Wednesday.

Athreya defeated the Canara Bank player 11-9, 11-8, 6-11, 11-6, 11-13, 11-9.

AR Navaneeth, who lost in the men's semifinals to Athreya, bagged a double on the final day, winning the junior and youth boys' titles. In the junior final, the Horizon paddler outplayed Akhil V 4-2, and accounted for Karthik CP 4-1 in the youth title clash.

Madhuri R too bagged a double, clinching the wom-en's and junior girls' titles. V Ranjitha denied Madhuri a hat-trick, edging the SAI paddler in a seven-game cliffhanger in the Youth girls' semifinals.

Madhuri accounted for Poojitha in both the title clashes.
