For some, patriotism is something that can be expressed through their attire.
When Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy was delivering his I-Day speech, an old man dressed like Mahatma Gandhi strolled on the Manekshaw Parade Ground from one end to the other. Wearing a white loin cloth, khadi shawl, a time-piece and round glasses, the man tried to get close to the stage from where the CM was delivering his speech.
Later, it was learnt the person was M N Chandrashekharachar, a retired CPWD employee. When enquired, he said he too wanted to deliver a speech from the podium and address the State. However, he could not get a chance.
