High tea
Bangalore, dhns: The Raj Bhavan on Wednesday, wore a festive look with lights decorating the walls and its sprawling campus full of people, who had gathered on an invitation from Governor T N Chaturvedi for high tea.
The occasion was the country’s 60th anniversary. The gathering comprised people from all walks of life, including 200 Scouts and Guides, from almost all districts.
While the evening had the hoi polloi from across the State, it also included those who matter most — from Karnataka Chief Justice Cyriac Joseph and judges Justice Bannurmath, Justice Malimath and others to MLCs, former chief minister Veerappa Moily, bureaucrats and police officers. Besides, there were retired bureaucrats and senior bank officers.
