2 KILLED IN MISHAP

Two persons died when a mines lorry overturned and plunged into a river near Sankadagundi bridge near Shiroor on Tuesday.

The lorry was plying from Bhatkal to Mangalore when the driver tried to overtake another vehicle leading to this mishap.

The driver of the lorry Govinda Raju (32) and cleaner Dada Kalandar (25) both died in the mishap. The body of Govinda Raju was recovered on Wednesday while Kalandar’s body was found on Tuesday.
