Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will conduct an aerial survey of the rain affected places in Kodagu district on August 19.
Mr Kumaraswamy will leave Bangalore (HAL airport) by 8 am and conduct the aerial assessment in Madikeri, Kushalnagar and Somwarpet taluks through an Indian Air Force chopper.
By 9.45 am, the CM will land on a helipad near Harangi Reservoir and offer ‘baagina’ to the dam by 10 am. He will inaugurate a newly constructed milk processing unit at Koodige at 10.30 am. He will also take part in a meeting regarding the development projects of the district later.
Mr Kumaraswamy will lay foundation stone for the Kushalnagar Government Engineering College and a two-way road connecting Kushalnagar and Sampaje.
He will address a public gathering at Kushalnagar after laying foundation stones to different projects and inaugurating various programmes.
The chief minister will leave to Ramanathapura in Arakalagoodu taluk by 2 pm, according to a schedule received by the Deputy Commissioner’s office here.
