Tahsildar’s transfer opposed

Gubbi,dhns: The district Karnataka Dalit Sangharsha samiti has strongly criticised the abrupt transfer of tahsildar M S N Babu who was an upright and an honest officer.

The officer has been transferred without any reason. The transfer has been done only due to political pressure.
This transfer should be opposed, they demanded and added that the only reason this sort of treatment was meted out was because M S N Babu belonged to the schedule caste.

The casteist forces had played a major role in his transfer alleged the convener V Shivashanker, dalit leader B D Kumar and K S Kumar Swami in a release.

Parishat to give talent awards

Tumkur, dhns: The taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat will be presenting the talent awards to SSLC and PUC students who have got the highest marks in this year’s examination, on August 26, said taluk Sahitya Parishat president M G Siddaramaiah.

Those who have scored full marks in Kannada language and the highest marks in other subjects, totalling about  205 students will be felicitated at the Vasavi Vidyapeetha in SIT extension at 3 pm.
