Revanth revels
DHNS

Getting the best child actor award in his very first film is a tribute to Revant R Malagi’s talent as an actor. The State film awards committee headed by film-maker Nagathihalli Chandrashekar has recently adjudged Revanth as the best child actor for his performance in the film “Daatu.”

His exposure to the theatre as a spectator, participant of theatre workshop for children and also as a stage actor has been instrumental in his transition as a screen actor. He first came to limelight for his acting proficiency in Devanoor Mahadeva’s play, “Odalala” staged by theatre troupe Rangasampada.

Revanth is a sixth standard student of RNN School in Vijayanagar and son of the noted amateur stage artiste K Revanna. Under his Bhagavathara troupe he has organised several cultural events.

Revanth made his debut in K Shivarudraiah’s film, “Daatu” and won an award for his very first film.
