The PM erred in reiterating that India was free to pursue its nuclear options. Was it a misunderstanding on the part of the Govt or a deliberate attempt to conceal the full facts? Undoubtedly the Americans want to restrict India for fear of an India-China axis developing.
 'Mutual co-operation' has been the watchword in agreements between nations. The nuclear deal lacks this spirit with the Americans focussing on tying India's hands. The deal needs to be scrapped.
