Pulse of Africa
Lladró, the world-renowned high-end porcelain house, has unveiled Pulse of Africa, a collection of functional items inspired by the formal purity and expressive qualities of African art. The collection combines the warmth of earthenware with rich glazed tones and textures and encapsulates the evocative power and mystery of Africa. It is composed of decorative African children figurines and functional items including candleholders, an incense burner, a bowl, a vase and salt and pepper cruets.
Designed in a pure, pared-down style and adorned with an African-inspired spiral pattern, the pieces provide a beautiful and exotic touch to the living or dining room. Lladró was established by brothers Juan, José and Vicente Lladró in 1953 in Valencia, Spain and currently has presence in over 120 countries. All Lladró pieces are the result of a meticulous artistic process preserving traditional craft skills; each step guided by master craftspeople using their expert hands under the direct supervision of the Lladró family.
