Borrison Hotel’ was first released in 1970. This is a remixed, remastered and extended version. The album opens with a powerful blast of raw funk called ‘Roadhouse Blues’ with brooding lyrics: “I woke up this morning and I got myself a beer/The future’s uncertain and the end is always near." This angry hard rock is that at which the Doors have always excelled.The 21 tracks includes eight previously unissued takes of "Roadhouse Blues, a run-through of Chuck Berry's "Carol," a jazz version of "Queen Of The Highway," and the previously unreleased "Money Beats Soul."

The overall sound is a little less pop-rock and more electronic with some Indian vibes, Balinese beats and a little bit of hip-hop. The album deals with Hilary’s relationship with boyfriend, her father, a friend and some unknown characters. According to Hilary ‘Gypsy woman’ is about a woman who had a relationship with her father. ‘Dreamer’ is reported to be about the two men who stalked her. ‘With love’ is about being Hilary, the celebrity.

Agnee is a three-member band with a distinct sound and this is the trio’s debut album. They have composed music for the upcoming film, “Dil dosti, etc” by Prakash Jha. The three members bring in their varied influences. Koko (lead guitarist and backing vocalist) brings in influences classical rock-pop, Arjit (lead vocalist and guitarist) brings in jazz-rock influences and Mohan (lead vocals, percussion and guitar) contributes Carnatic and Hindustani classical influences. They blend distinct styles and are innovative, very new age and very rock.
The music never overshadows the vocals in the eight tracks. “Keh lene do” is a slow melodious track, “Kuch ankahee has interesting guitar riffs. The MTV roadies theme is catchy. The other tracks,”Sadho re”, “Shaam Tanha”, “Karavan” and “Kabira” all have strong Indian themes.
