Top seeds Ajay Patil and Jacqueline R Kunnath hardly broke a sweat enter the quarterfinals of the under-16 boys’ and girls events respectively in the State badminton championship here on Saturday.

On the opening day of the main draw, Ajay booked the last eight berth with a comfortable 21-10, 21-5 victory over Rohit Harkini, while in the girls section Jacqueline  routed her lesser-fancied opponent Shamika Shetty 21-5, 21-5.
