The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has left no stone unturned to provide trouble free services to bus commuters following shift of express services from the Kempegowda Bus Terminus (KBS) to the Mysore Road Terminus.
KSRTC has made adequate arrangements to accommodate services of its express buses apart from express services of Tamil Nadu State Transport Undertaking (TNSTU). A visit by Deccan Herald to the station saw KSRTC’s efforts to bring about order in bus operations as opposed to chock-a-block movement of inter-state buses in KBS. Commuters were seen extensively using shuttle mini-bus facilities, arranged by the KSRTC, to link the KBS and the Mysore Road terminus. The State-run corporation is operating 25 mini-buses with a fare of Rs three per passenger for the facility. K A Rajkumar, General Manager (Traffic) KSRTC said the relocation of bus services has not just reduced the load on congested KBS, but also on connecting roads leading to the City’s busiest transport hub.
“With 876 buses shifted out of majestic area till date, it has also reduced bus traffic on the busy Kempegowda Road. This plan is to facilitate relocation of as many buses as possible.”
