A city youth who was found guilty of sending vulgar messages to a girl, has been ordered to   do penance in a gurdwara for the mischief.
He has been ordered to render community service. He should clean utensils and take care of shoes of devotees visiting the gurdwara for a week. The unusual order was passed by the Juvenile Justice Board here. It has asked the police to ensure that the boy reports for the assigned task.
The boy, a student of a private institute in the city, was found guilty of sending vulgar SMS messages to a girl.
The board prescribed the unusual mode of punishment for him, as it apparently considered his tender  age. ast month, a Delhi court had asked three recalcitrant youth to perform community service as punishment for causing nuisance while driving motorbikes.
