Haute apparel options
Kavitha Srinivasa

Crushed fabrics are the mantra this season. At least this is what Cabaana, the fashion garments outlet, has in store for its customers. For customers across all age groups, the store recommends crushed trousers and chiffon tunics in several styles and designs. While this look of the season is expressed through a colourful line of apparel, the store has a collection of western clothes for men and women in cool shades of aqua blue and mint.
An interest in fashion urged Sanjay Sachdev to start Cabaana three years ago. More so, as he sensed a potential in Jayanagar, where the store is located. The intuition proved right, as the store has a sizeable number of customers from call centres, apart from teenagers.

"In order to cater to a diverse clientele mix, we get clothes from Mumbai and Ludhiana.

The latter is a good bet for sweaters and in this city, even if it gets chill for a day, people immediately shop for warm clothes," explained Sanjay.

Thanks to quirky mindsets, Cabaana has thrown open several options in woolen wear, along with jackets. Moving on from this section, is a fine line of crochet and knit tops, which are a rage among college-goers.
What is interesting is that the store lives up to its tag line Let the Style Speak.

This is achieved through its different kinds of clothes ranging from basic and formal wear to party wear for men and women. "However certain fabrics for trousers are common to both categories. Cargos are sought after by men and women and these are in fabrics like cotton and corduroy," added Sanjay.

If cargos offer comfort, the laser effect jeans are best suited during an evening out. A stylish belt completes the picture. The other end represents formal trousers for men and women crafted in fabrics like polynosic, linen and cotton. Leggins also grace the racks.

While the store has something new every week, Cabaana is in the process of expansion.
