AND LAST WEEK...

Resto lounge launched
Luminiere, the newest resto lounge on M G Road, was launched last week on Friday with DJ Ajay playing funky house music followed by a fashion show of Ramesh Dembla’s autumn collection.
The resto lounge is a part of the Kolkata-based Chatterjee group of companies.

Luminiere will have a food list of Lebanese, Chinese, Continental and Indian in an ambience which has been designed by architect Bhaskar Das. DJ Ajay, who was the finalist of the International War of DJs, South Zone will be performing a set of world music as the resident DJ.

Musical show
Kannada film music director Gurukiran and his troupe held the audience spell-bound for three hours at a show held at Ambedkar Bhavan on Sunday.

The show, organised by Santoor and Chandrika brands from Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting involved song and dance sequences interspersed with mimicry performances in a setting that set the mood for the evening.
Both Santoor and Chandrika took the celebrity endorsement route earlier this year by roping in popular film stars.
While Santoor roped in Saif Ali Khan and Madhavan to star in its TV commercials, Chandrika signed on Ramesh Arvind and Jayaram.
