Bad roads
Almost a year ago, the road from the arch on Vidyaranyapura Main Road to Sri Kalika Durgaparameshwari Temple was widened and the footpath laid. But the portion that has been widened (about six to eight foot) has been laid with jelly on both sides with no sign of asphalting on that stretch. This doesn’t serve the purpose of attempting to have a wide road as the stretch cannot be used by vehicles or pedestrians.
Also the bus route (No 401B) from Vidyaranyapura’s Main bus stand to the Jelly factory through M S Palya and the Yelahanka route is in a very bad condition with potholes at almost every step. Commuting on buses or any vehicle plying on this route is a herculean task leading to all sorts of physical health problems. Will the authority look into these problems and do the need full at the earliest.

Layouts ignored
The fourth layout of the HMT Employee's Cooperative House Building Society, also called as KRS Gowda Extension, is about 25 years old with nearly 2000 sites. This part has been the most neglected by the BDA as it lacks basic civic amenities, public transport, street lights and the like. There is no police station, no post office or bank. There is no supply of cauvery water despite us paying our property tax along with each house remitting the Housing Board Society about Rs 6,000 to Rs 15,000 for the same, depending on dimension of our respective sites. Roads that were partially asphalted a few years ago are worn out and replaced by potholes that often cause accidents.
Will the concerned BDA officials take necessary steps and the Health Minister R Ashok look into the civic requirements before the health of residents go hay-wire?

BMTC bus needed
The BMTC must consider allotting atleast one bus between KBS and Andhrahalli circle since there is a large crowd of office goers and school children using this route. Buses going to Thunganagar and back could be extended upto Andhrahalli which would be a useful service to the residents.

Forty eight-year-old Kamalamma is diagnosed to be suffering from Carcinoma of the breast. Her doctors at the Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre have advised her to undergo radiation therapy combined with chemotherapy. The estimated cost of the procedure is Rs 75,000. Since I cannot raise that much money, I request philanthropists to render financial assistance which may be sent via cheques or DD to Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre at 82, EPIP Area, Whitefield to Kamalamma to her hospital number 504567.
