Teams and players have to pay a heavy price if wrong decisions are given by the umpires in the middle. Saurav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar were on their way to make centuries in the second Test at Trent Bridge when umpire Simon Taufel made them walk back by his wrong decisions. This happens in the highly charged Test or One day cricket matches as the umpires's concentration could be affected due to the tension-filled battles. Such umpiring errors could definitely be overcome if the available technology is exploited in all doubtful cases. The LBW decision is purely a judgement by the straight umpire which should no doubt be left to his discretion, but the umpire should have the option to consult the third umpire in case of a doubt!.If such an option is provided to the umpire, it will eliminate heart burns of batsmen as well as stop curses from one and all.
