Farheen scored a brace (22nd, 25th)as Bishop Cotton Girls High School beat Frank Anthony Public School 3-1 to set up a title clash with St Euphrasias High School ‘A’ in the Tanvi Rao Memorial hockey tournament for girls on Wednesday.
Disha Sharma scored the other goal for the winners in the 13th minute while, Marsha scored the consolation goal for FAPS in the 18th minute.

Naveen stars in NHC victory
Naveen scored three goals (1st, 6th, 45th) to help Naveen HC ‘A’ get the better of a fighting Bagalkot Hockey Club 6-3 in a State ‘C’ division hockey league tie at the KSHA stadium on Wednesday.
Chandrasekhar (17th, Dhana Murthy 24th, Vasanth 41st) scored the other goals for the winners while Bagalkot reduced the margin through Basavaraj (15th, 18th),and Muthu Madgi (40th).
Gopinath enters semifinal
Kalaimani Gopinath of Karnataka entered the final in the standing lower below waist-I category of the National badminton tournament for the disabled in Bangalore on Wednesday. He beat Hima Giri Yeragula of Andhra Pradesh 21-9, 21-11 in the semifinal.

SJIHS register comfortable win
A fine bowling performance helped St Joseph’s Indian High School ‘A’ earn a 35-run victory over St Joseph’s Indian Middle School in the opening semifinal league tie of the Arockiaswamy Memorial inter-school junior cricket tournament in Bangalore on Wednesday.
Chasing a target of 94, St Joseph’s Middle School could manage only 58 in the stipulated 20 overs as opening bowler Likhit put behind an injury to account for two of the eight wickets to fall. Likhith’s effort was complemented by skipper Nihal with a highly economical spell (4-2-3-1).

Amitabh Poddar with a total of 148 gross won the Open event golf title in the Shanthanu Gurjer Memorial Cup conducted by the Bangalore Golf Club. Prabhath Jadav with 50 finished a close second.
