Bharatanatayam exponent Tulasi Ramachandra of Mysore and vocalist
Dr Ratna Shivashankar are among the 18 who have been conferred with the Karnataka Sangeetha Nrithya Academy award for the year 2007-08.
Addressing a press conference in Bangalore on Wednesday, Academy President Rajashekar Mansur said the annual awards include a cash prize of Rs 5,000, shawl and a citation. The cash component for the honourary awards is Rs 10,000.
The awards will be presented in Mysore during the first week of December, he said.
