Apprenticeship Training
The Directorate of Technical Education has organised a centralised selection programme (walk-in-interview) for selection of BE and Diploma holders, for a one year apprenticeship training at various industries, in co-ordination with the Director, Board of Apprenticeship Training, Chennai and the Principal, Government CPC Polytechnic, Mysore on August 4 at the Government CPC Polytechnic, Mysore.
Event postponed
Kasturi TV channel, promoted by CM H D Kumaraswamy’s family, has postponed its mega cultural event which was proposed to be held on August 18 at Palace Grounds in Bangalore.
Sources said, “We want all top stars from the film world to attend the cultural extravaganza. But time is too short to make such arrangement. So, we put off the programme”.
However, the soft launch of the channel will be as per the schedule on August 18 and from August 27, the infotainment channel will be beaming the programmes, sources said.
Environment Clearance
The Union Govt has decentralised the entire process of environment clearance by creating an independent State-Level Environmental Impact Assessment Authority supported by a State-Level Expert Appraisal Committee also created by the Ministry of Environment and Forests.
The Environmental Impact Assessment Authority is accepting applications for Environment Clearance. Applications may be addressed to Member Secretary, State-Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority, Room No.706, Department of Environment and Ecology, Gate-4, M S Building, Bangalore - 560 001.
