She was speaking after inaugurating the jath organised under the joint aegis of the CCF, Grama Vikas organisation and Child Fund India to mark the occasion of the world breast-feeding week in Bethmangala. She also added that the healthy children represent the most important element essential for the development of the country - human resource and therefore the State government should earmark funds for this in the budget.
The programme that was conducted in the Dattasai College was aimed at increasing awareness among women about the benefits of breast-feeding for their infants.
A memorandum was submitted to the Zilla Panchayat member Naveed Khan that marked teh end of the jatha.
Former member of the Grama Panchayat Vindhya and Balaji, principal of the college were present at the meet.
