legislator H Ningappa held a janata darshan at Hebbur and listened to public grievances.
Ningappa met people in front of Hebbur gram panchayath office and gave a patient hearing to the public grievance and wherever possible solved them. A large number submitted applications for ration card, Ashraya house and disability benefits etc. He instructed the officials concerned present to attend to them.
Addressing the gathering the legislator explained the benefits of arrack ban and said women should realise the importance of such a step. Applauding the Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy for implementing the ban despite opposition, he cautioned that if cheap substitute are produced steps would be taken to ban the same.
He asked the public to immediately bring to the notice of the authorities in case hooch is cited.
“If the police do not take immediate action bring it to my notice’ he said.
