Tumkur Rotary Club had organised an orientation workshop for new members, which was inaugurated by senior Rotarian T S Venkatananjappa, held at Dr Shivakumara Swami auditorium at Siddaganga boys college, Tumkur.
Bangalore Rotary deputy governor Palyam Ramesh who presided over the programme explained about the Rotary Club and its services.
 Dr Upendra, another guest, spoke about the role of youth in Rotary.
K S Nagendra said  social service is an integral part of Rotary.  Rotary organises blood donation, health camps etc, he said.
Chief guest Dr Rudresh explained the service motto of Rotary. The workshop was chaired by Tumkur Rotary president Shivashankara Kadadevaramutt. Rotarian Shantilal delivered the key note address. Vice-president H R Vishwanath conducted the programme.  Secretary Rotarian H C Mohankumar delivered the vote of thanks.
