Injured dies hospital stoned
Tumkur, dhns: The kin of a patient who died following an accident, created a ruckus, here on Tuesday, by throwing stones and ransacking the hospital.
Rangaswamy met with an accident near Kallipalya and was brought to a private hospital at Tumkur.
However, he succumbed to injuries. The family of the deceased alleged that negligence by the hospital staff led to his death and started throwing stones and created a ruckus.
Police immediately rushed to the spot and averted further damage.
The hospital has been provided with extra security.
Rasta roko     today at Gubbi
Gubbi, dhns: A rasta roko will be staged on Wednesday, at Gubbi, protesting against the two teachers who misbehaved with students at Alilu Ghatta, announced Rockline Ravikumar of Kannada Sene.
The protesters are demanding suspension from duty of the two teachers as against mere transfer,  ordered currently, would only encourage them to repeat their irresponsible behaviour.
The Auto Drivers’ Association is supporting the rasta roko, he said.
Sub Inspector dies in accident
Town police station sub inspector Jayanna(40) died in an accident at an accident on Dabaspet-Nelamangala road on Monday.
He was driving to KGF to attend a court case on Tuesday. Near the Pepsi factory, his car lost control and hit the divider and turned turtle. Jayanna suffered major head injury and died on the spot.
He leaves behind aged parents, wife and a son and a daughter.
