The State government has given in-principle approval for the ambitious drinking water project to Kalasa. In a press meet here on Sunday, Kalasa Water Supply and Cleanliness Committee office-bearers said the government has sanctioned Rs 93.75 lakh for the project in the first stage. The total cost of the project is Rs 2.60 crore. As per the project, the water will be distributed to Kalasa town from Honnekadu stream which is 13 km from the town.
