Top-seeds Ajay Patil and Jacqueline R Kunnath won the boys and girls (U-16) singles titles respectively in the State badminton championship which concluded at the SDM Dental College here on Tuesday.

Ajay had a relatively smooth ride defeating Vinay Hari 21-16, 21-13 in straight games in the boys final, while Jacqueline had to drop a game before beating Uttara Prakash 21-12, 20-22, 21-9 in the girls final.

Later in the day, Ajay teamed up with R N Suraj to prevail over L U Chirag and G Sai Praneeth 21-19, 21-8 in the U-16 doubles final to complete memorable a double.

Meanwhile, Siddarth S and Mithun Manjunath were crowned the champions in the boys under-13 and under-10 sections respectively.

Siddarth beat Shivnayak 21-19, 21-12 in the under-13 final, while Mithun posted a facile 21-9, 21-7 win over Sachin Patil in the under-10 finals.
