All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) has sanctioned four new government engineering colleges.
The colleges are: Government Engineering College, Ramangaram; Government Engineering College, K R Pet, Mandya; Government Engineering College, Chamarajanagar and Government Engineering College, Hassan. The courses offered by the colleges are: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Computer Science.
Each college will have  an intake of 240 seats. In all, 5,650 engineering seats will be offered. These seats would be available for the engineering casual vacancy round, which will commence from August 22.
In this round, all the unfilled and cancelled seats will be offered along with the newly sanctioned engineering colleges.
