Southwest monsoon was weak over the State. Rainfall occurred at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka. Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Channapatna (Bangalore Rural dt) 2; Mani, Sulya (both Dakshina Kannada dt), Bhalki (Bidar dt), Thirthahalli, Agumbe, Bhadravathi (all Shimoga dt), Sakleshpura, C.R.Patna, Sravanabelgola (all Hassan dt), M.M.Hills, Kollegal (both Chamarajnagara dt), Huliyurdurga (Tumkur dt) 1 each.

Forecast: Forecast valid until the morning of Saturday: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and over Kodagu, Shimoga, Chikmagalur and Hassan districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka and over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change is expected over the State.
