Yo! China, a Gurgaon-based Chinese restaurant chain, offering Chinese cuisine for people on the go now plans to add over 500-600 outlets across the country by 2009 from the existing 27 outlets.
Yo! China Managing Director Ashish Kapur said “We are targetting the youth, and plan to set up wherever there is accessibility such as Central Business Districts (CBDs), malls, airports and large campuses.”
The restaurant chain plans to invest close to Rs 50 crore over two years for the expansion. Currently present in 14 locations including Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, Yo! China plans to enter all major cities and later in Tier II locations. “We are basically looking at North, West and South regions of India. In South India we plan to get strong in Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore,” Mr Kapur said adding that Yo! China will have 30 new outlets nationwide by the end of current financial year.
The restaurant chain plans to open three more joints to the existing four in Bangalore. “We plan to open outlets in tech parks and IT campuses/offices as also considering Bangalore International Airport,” Mr Kapur told Deccan Herald.
Yo! China outlets offer a fresh and colourful ambience unlike the stereotype Chinese restaurants that emphasise on dragons and red lanterns, where customers can dine, opt for take away or have it delivered to their homes or offices.
