Rowdy on the run caught
DH News Service,Bangalore:

Viveknagar police on Wednesday arrested notorious rowdy-sheeter Guna alias Gunashekhar (35), a resident of Viveknagar, on murder charges. Guna had been absconding since February 15, 2006 after killing notorious rowdy, Palani. Police had launched a massive search operation to nab him. Sixteen cases have been registered against him in various police stations here.
A close associate of notorious rowdy Uma alias Umashankar, who was murdered in 2005, Guna was sent to jail in 2003 on charges of eliminating Nataraj, a relative of Palani.
Case solved
Wilson Garden police cracked a murder case and arrested two persons in this connection. Jafar and Nani had killed Munawar, an associate of notorious rowdy Khaleel alias Tarakari Khaleel, in Bellary.
Bellary police alerted Wilson Garden police that Jafar was staying in Wilson Garden. Police swung into action and arrested him late on Monday. Based on his information, Nani was arrested in Hosur the next morning.
Eight held
Halasuru Gate police arrested eight persons on charges of prostitution and recovered a car and an autorickshaw.
Pretending as customers, the police contacted some pimps and they agreed to meet at Bannappa Park. The police found the eight waiting in a car and an autorickshaw, and arrested them.
7 gamblers held
CCB police raided a lodge in Upparpet police station limits and arrested seven persons on gambling charges and recovered six cellphones and Rs 1.2 lakh in cash.
