Encroachers to face criminal cases
Bangalore,dhns: The Karnataka Slum Clearance Board has decided to file criminal complaints against those encroaching land belonging to slums in the City, Chairman Rajendra Verma said on Wednesday. Nearly 300/300 ft land belonging to Vasanthpura slum on Uttarahalli road has been encroached upon by a builder.
“We have decided to file a criminal case against the builder,” Mr Verma said after inspecting the slum. KSCB has taken up construction of 250 houses at the slum under Jawaharlal National Urban Renewal Mission.
Encroachment is also found at Laggere slum and action will be taken to clear it, he added.
Irregular power supply
Bangalore, dhns: There will be irregular power supply from 10:30 pm on August 24 to 10 pm on August 27 in KEB Layout, KEB Colony, 1st and 2nd stages of BTM, 2nd and 3rd phases of JP Nagar, Kuvempunagara, Madinanagar, Central silk Board, Kaverappa Industrial Estate, KAS and IAS Colony, Srinivas Industrial Estate, Dollars Layout 4th phase, Dorasanipalya, Mico Layout, Vysya Bank Colony, N S Palya and industrial area, Bannerghatta Road, Infosys, Old and New Gurappanapalya, Thavarekere, 1st to 4th, 4T and 9th Blocks of Jayanagar, Byrasandra, part of Hosur Road, Jayadeva Hospital, Hulimavu, Billekahalli, Begur, KC Halli, Koramangala Industrial Layout, Jyothinivas College Road, Koramangala 1st to 5th Blocks, CPWD Quarters, Kendriya Sadan, Kudremukh Colony, part of Adugodi, Vinayaka Nagar, Lakkasandra, part of Wilson Garden and surrounding areas.
No power supply
There will be no power supply on August 23 from 12 noon to 2 pm in Dickenson Road, Hospital Road, Cubbon Road, Kamaraja Road, Commercial Street, Shivajinagar, Bharathi Nagar, Richmond Circle, Richmond Road, part of Mission road, Langford Garden, Langford Road, Corlwell Road, Brigade road, Residency Road, Kasturba Road, Brunton Road, Trinity Circle, Primerose Road, Bazaar Street, Frontech Road, RK Mutt Road, Ashoknagar, St John’s Road, MG Road, Lavelle Road, St Marks Road, Ulsoor and surrounding areas.
