Award distribution
J M Mohammed Dawood Social and Educational Trust is organising a function to distribute awards to the students who have secured 85 per cent and above marks in the SSLC and PUC exams.
An Urdu debate on the topic ‘The status of women in Islam’ has been arranged for 7th standard students.
Former Vice Chancellor of Mangalore and Goa University Prof B Shaikh Ali, Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rai, and journalist Rajashekhar Koti will the chief guests.
MLA Tanveer Sait will preside over the function, which will take place at MESCO ITI, Abdul Kalam Azad Road, Subash Nagar, NR Mohalla, at 3 pm.
Free lecture
Free motivating and education lectures will be held on all Saturdays at Chaitanya Meditation Centre, #64, M-Block, 2nd stage, 3rd main, 10th cross, Kuvempunagar between 3:30 pm - 5 pm. On August 25, a session will be held on ‘Concentration’ and on September 1 the topic will be ‘How to prepare for exams’. The entry is free.

Y N Shankare Gowda has been selected as recipient for the national award constituted by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and the Khadi and Village Industries Commission, at a function organised at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on August 30.

Danseuse Vasundhara Doraswamy has presented a documentary on Bharatanatya and Yoga at the JSS Spiritual Mission at Maryland, USA, recently.
