One stop shop for fashion
When a music store gets converted into an apparel outlet, it throws in a host of surprises. Like its roomy interior which exudes an unconventional image. Or the store itself, which is located within the cozy confines of a building in Basavangudi. And this is what makes C Stop Fashion worth a visit.
To begin with, the five-year-old store retailed garments for adults in the same premises. As the demand grew, it bifurcated into a men's and women's store housed alongside one another. Understandably so, since most customers at C Stop Fashion are teenagers who are keen to sport the latest in fashion.
This is all due to the efforts of Om Prakash Sachidev, who started the store. “I have been retailing Indian garments since the last three decades and switched over to western wear sometime ago. There was a market for it in south Bangalore, which has several colleges. It then made sense to set up base here,” explains Sachidev, who is joined by son Dinesh, in his new endeavour.
The store was conceptualized as a destination for western outfits.
It came to be known as C Stop Fashion, where C stands for clothes. Amalgamations of branded and imported offerings are available here. The display is uncluttered, where one can find familiar and reputed names like Hawk, Spykar and Dragon, along with a line of designer wear from Thailand. All these represent the trendiest in fashion, with something new on the racks every week. This season, C Stop Fashion has a range of jackets and sweaters, apart from T-shirts and trousers for both men and women. These can be accessorised with funky belts, stylish bags and casual, strappy footwear. Right from formal, casual to party wear, the store has something for everyone.
