Siddaramaiah camp seeks KPCC slots
DH News Service, New Delhi:

Former Member of Parliament P P Kodandaramaiah is understood to have given a list of persons who joined the Congress along with backward class leader Siddaramaiah seeking they be suitably accommodated in the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC).
Kodandaramaiah called on AICC in charge for Karnataka M M Jacob and Union ministers A K Antony and Oscar Fernandes and discussed with them the issue. He reportedly informed the Congress leaders the growing unease among the supporters of Siddaramaiah because of the sidelining of this group and the ‘distance’ maintained with them by the state party leaders.
He told the leaders that the attitude of the party in not giving a suitable post to Siddaramaiah and others as well as district level leaders has not sent a good message among the followers of the former deputy chief minister. All the three leaders urged Kodandaramaiah to exercise patience and assured him that the matter would be taken up with Congress president Sonia Gandhi soon after her return from South Africa. He told Deccan Herald that he came to the capital to give a list of names to be included in the KPCC as sought by Fernandes.
“I have informed the three leaders on various issues and the political situation in the state. I also told them that it has become difficult to satisfy the block and district level leaders. I hope some action would be forthcoming in the next couple of weeks,” he remarked.
On the reported moves for a Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) tie-up to form the government, he said the followers of Siddarmaiah were opposed to it and added that there was no need for the party to join hands with JD(S) especially since the electorate was ready to pitchfork the party to power.
