Being patient and silent is a virtue -- or at least this is what Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa believes of late.
Despite Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy reportedly stating that the JD(S) has earned a bad name after aligning with the BJP, Mr Yediyurappa on Wednesday refused to react. And he is determined to be tight lipped till October 3.
“I will not react to anything. I have also directed all BJP leaders not to make any statement on any political issue. We will wait with patience till October 3,” he told reporters who sought his reaction to the Chief Minister’s statement, at his official residence.
The party State President D V Sadananda Gowda, who is away in Delhi as the Parliament session is on, also refused to react and said that he is not aware of the Chief Minister’s statement.
Mr Yediyurapa also chose to remain silent on the question about the coalition partner’s hijacking one of the KPSC membership posts, which was the BJP’s share.
VICHARA MANTAPA
The JD(S) has set up Vichara Mantapa at its main office on Race Course road, and it is dubbed as a research wing of the party.
The party spokesperson Y S V Datta said the mantapa is on the lines of Basavanna’s Anubhava Mantapa. It will have documents on every issue and both leaders and workers can use it. H D Deve Gowda will launch the facility at 9.30 am on Thursday.
