Dr Srinivas Varakhedi has been selected for ‘Vyasa-Baadaraayana Puraskara’ award, given by Human Resource Department of Union Government. The award is given to young Sanskrit scholars.  Award carries Rs 1 lakh in cash and citation. The President will present the award.
Dr Varakhedi, who studied in Bangalore. is working as lecturer in Post-Graduate department of Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya in Tirupathi. He has conducted research projects in computation linguistics and Sanskrit.
